Draft Follow-up Paper ICANN and Human Rights
Dear all, I hope this email finds you well. In preparation of our call tomorrow I am sending you the draft version of the follow-up paper produced by Article19 and Monika Zalnieriute. (We aware that more editing is needed.) This paper is meant to further the the discussion on ICANN and Human Rights, and together with the FAQ and summary of the CoE report this should form sufficient basis to inform ICANN stakeholders and push for the formation of the cross-community working group in Singapore. Looking forward to discuss this paper with you on the call tomorrow. Written comments (with track changes) and contributions are of course also very welcome. Hello all, To further contribute to our call tomorrow I send you attached a (very) preliminary version of the telegraphic and ultra-condensed version of the CoE paper. It is impossible to capture the depth of the discussions of the report in a document that is short enough for anyone to stop a actually read. So I tend to believe that the goal of this document is to place the issue in sight for the community (even those less interested), stating and somewhat limiting what the key areas of problem are. To detailed discussion of the topics anyone can refer back to the report. If anyone else can continue the drafting work with me I would be very thankful. I did not cover privacy issues yet and there are many topics that I am still seeking to understand. The issue-paragraphs need to be sharper and bring examples too. Please consider this as an attempt to kickstart the document and get the ball rolling. See you in the call. Marília On Thu, Jan 15, 2015 at 3:00 PM, Niels ten Oever <niels@article19.org> wrote:
