Hi Katrina, I believe the ccNSO should comment on the string similarity element of that monumental report. Topic 24 is a serious failure of ICANN.org. We – the ccNSO community – has highlighted the inconsistencies in the assessment process of confusing similarity at: 1) ccTLD, 2)IDN ccTLD and 3) gTLD on numerous occasions. ICANN.org should have coordinated the process in a much more structured. We, the ccNSO Council, tried to suggest a common work/approach to fix this aspect. To say that we were simply ignored is an understatement.
