Vika, Sorry to hear of your resignation, but I'm sure your talents will serve other well deserved efforts. However, I am glad that we will still be able to see you in future ICANN meetings. Also, I agree with Katrina's suggestions regarding the elections. - kind regards, - Young-eum. Dear Katrina & Councillors,
As you are well aware, my contribution to the Council & its structures has been quite below par for at least the last year due to unabating work commitments on my part. As much as I was hoping something will give & I can return to more active participation in the Council, things continue to look difficult for me. Accordingly, after 2.5 terms as a ccNSO Councillor for Africa, I would like to resign from the Council so that another candidate from Africa can make a contribution to the well-being of the ccTLD community through the Council.
I am not sure how you want us to handle this leading to the next elections, but if it’s not causing any problems to the Council, I would like my resignation to be immediate.
Having said that, I wish the Council all the best. In you we have a bunch of hard-working & knowledgeable councillors who are making sure the interests of the ccTLD community are well advocated and respected. Barring any Divine Intervention to the contrary, you will still be seeing me in ICANN meetings.
Regards,
