Hi, Many congratulations to Chris. Whilst this is a loss to the ccNSO, I am pleased that the ICANN Board will be strengthened by the addition of your skills and experience. I do hope that this will represent the start of a new chapter in relationships and communication between ccTLD managers and ICANN. Events over the last year or so leave me feeling that both are in need of some attention. Regards, Lesley On 12/10/2010 12:37, "Gabriella Schittek" <gabriella.schittek@icann.org> wrote:
Dear all,
The nomination period for a ccNSO representative to the ICANN Board ended last week. The only nominee was Chris Disspain, who accepted the nomination. This means that no election by the ccNSO members is necessary. The ccNSO Council now needs to formally adopt the result of the nomination process to select the representative in accordance with the ICANN bylaws. This will be done at the next Council meeting on the 19 October 2010.
The nomination report is available at http://www.ccnso.icann.org/announcements/announcement-11oct10-en.htm
Congratulations to Chris, who will take seat on the ICANN Board after the ICANN meeting in June 2011.
