Hi Katrina The continued reservation of the two letters for ccTLDs clearly needs to be publicly supported, and similarly the alpha-3 codes corresponding to the 3166 list (this was a big fight and we should be thankful they continue to be reserved, even if you would be a fan of a .GIN new gTLD!) I am happy to do a first draft on the geo names, if that would be helpful? Best wishes Nick From: Ccnso-council <ccnso-council-bounces@icann.org> On Behalf Of Katrina Sataki Sent: Monday, September 21, 2020 9:14 AM To: 'ccnso-council' <ccnso-council@icann.org> Subject: [ccnso-council] FW: FW: Action Wanted: GNSO New gTLD Subsequent Procedures Draft Final Report - Published for Public CommentAct Dear Colleagues, I haven’t heard back from you – so, we do not respond at all, do we? The draft report includes without modification the Final Report produced by Work Track 5. Annebeth urged everyone to pay special attention to: * Topic 21 Reserved Names (see footnote 120), page 92/93 under letter c) on reservation of two-character letter-number combination at the top-level. Public Comment for Geographic Names is included in Topic 21, under 21.1, referring to Annex I, which contains the Final Report of Work Track 5. https://mm.icann.org/pipermail/gnso-newgtld-wg-wt5/attachments/20191102/ab9a... It will strengthen the recommendations of Work Track 5 if supporting those under 21.1, question 117. * Topic 24 – String Similarity Evaluations and Topic 25 IDNs, Topic 32 Limited Challenge/ Appeal Mechanisms (see page 156 for referral to Annex I) Public comment period is open until 30 September. I would like to ask your thoughts: should we prepare and submit a Council statement? If yes, who would volunteer to prepare the first draft? Thank you! Kind regards, ]{atrina
