The CCWG asks that the Chartering Organizations, including the ccNSO, complete their approval of their Final Report by the conclusion of ICANN63. Background As indicated in the CCWG-Accountability Charter<https://community.icann.org/x/xwuOAw>, the CCWG-Accountability has divided its work into two Work Streams: · Work Stream 1<https://community.icann.org/x/ogDxAg>: focuses on mechanisms enhancing ICANN accountability that must be in place or committed to within the time frame of the IANA Stewardship Transition; · Work Stream 2: focuses on addressing accountability topics for which a timeline for developing solutions and full implementation may extend beyond the IANA Stewardship Transition. In April until mid-May 2018, a Public Comment sought community input on whether there are any inconsistencies between the various sets of recommendations within the Cross Community Working Group on Enhancing ICANN Accountability's (CCWG-Accountability) final report from its Work Stream 2 (WS2). The CCWG-Accountability WS2 final report is a compilation of eight reports generated through individual sub-groups of the CCWG-Accountability, each of which has already been the subject of public comment. These eight reports are on the topics identified at Section 27.1. of the ICANN Bylaws, which defined WS2. At its 9 March 2018 meeting<https://www.icann.org/news/blog/co-chairs-statement-from-ccwg-accountability...> at ICANN61 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the CCWG-Accountability completed its approval of each of the sub-group reports for inclusion within the WS2 final report. In July 2018, the CCWG-Accountability forwarded its WS2 final report to its Chartering Organizations for endorsement. This Final Report presents a summary of the work completed by WS2 and its sub‐groups, a listing of all recommendations as well as the complete report from each sub-‐group (Annexes 1 to 8) and the Implementation Guidance (Annex 9) developed to meet the concerns of the ICANN Board of Directors relative to the four recommendations it identified in its letter of May 14 2018. Next step: Once the CCWG-‐Accountability Chartering Organizations have approved this Final Report for WS2 according to its Charter*, *it will be transmitted to the ICANN Board for approval and implementation.
