Dear all, Please find included draft engagement plan, as part of the background material on item 4 of the agenda, Kind regards, Bart
Dear Bart Thanks for sharing the notes of the meeting. I just wanted to provide some further input about the regional processes in LAC which are worth bearing in mind to consider engaging this community in greater depth. The LACNIC meeting in May in Lima is scheduled from 18 - 22 May (not between 18-20 as currently described). In addition LACTLD is organizing within that meeting its 2 day policy workshop for its members (20 + 21 May), which we'll use to discuss the CWG proposal, among other issues. The opening session of the LACNIC meeting on 19 May is jointly organized between LACNIC + LACTLD and the the focus will be a on the IST from the three operational communities (names, numbers and protocols). Hi Bart & Council Members, I am unable to join the call tomorrow due to a prior booking. Having read the draft plan and also having listened to the recording of the informal call last week, I support the plan. I have two suggestions from my experience: - We must ensure that we fully involve the RO’s in the engagement - including their meetings that take place during the timeline and asking the General Managers for assistance in contacting non-engaged ccTLD Managers. - It would be helpful if several of the ‘very informed and engaged’ managers might be able to publish their comments at the earliest possible opportunity and share them widely, as a potential template for others who might share the same views. It is often easier for someone to amend or add to someone else’s text, than to draft their response from a blank page. I will also be unlikely to be on the call for much of it due to a rearranged travel to the mainland due to a personal family matter. My view is that I have nagging reservations about the way the whole IANA transition process is going (I've been following one of the groups quietly) and fully support Lesely's comments regarding fully involving the ROs -- which in my view has to mean the RO Members (and obviously those RO Members that are not ccNSO members), not just the permanent staff or Boards. Also how do we engage non-CCNSO-member, non-RO-member cc#s?? Nigel On 04/22/2015 05:35 PM, Lesley Cowley wrote:
