I disagree that there's a consensus in the group wrt dropping the Preamble from our charter and deliverable.
I stated my rationales already: - without it, and with only "in service of the ICANN mission", we come pretty weak on the scoping part of our work. - the board made several specific and valid comments that we just need to take up to fix our document - providing some guidance for an Open and Interoperable Internet, in particular the middleware technical infrastructure role (open standards, tools, etc), is the minimum we can do when considering that the original vague scope was already "good for the Internet".
