As an "Arms Length Management Organization" (Almo) based on U.s.a Deptt of Commerce agreement, Icann should consider what this *shocking* price increase means for those who cannot afford. If Icann unwritten policy is for "1 DOMAIN, PER 1 PERSON OR COMPANY" by allowing such unreasonable .COM price increases, it should clearly announce it. Ys Meeku

Greetings, After reading about the new agreement in the news and reading the complete description and explanation by ICANN. I think the plan of increasing the price of .com domains is unreasonable. ICANN need to think about the clients who cannot follow the updates and rely on their website to make money. We already face a problem keeping with the annual bill of our domains. We truly understand the effort of keeping the domain services as good as possible. But, I think the solution is not in the new agreement. 7% increase is very high. The worse would be to follow the inflation rate. Current inflation rate is around 2%. However, connection to inflation rate is questionable since the price is expected to decrease as a result of technology evolution.

To whom it may concern, I am concerned about the latest direction the ICANN is taking with the amendment 3. Some price can be reasonable, but the process and amount seem unreasonable considering how much businesses and economies now rely on stable, predictable domain systems. I hope you will reconsider these changes, and think of ways to raise funds at more reasonable levels and to also be more clear and transparent about how you will be spending these funds. Dear All Involved, Thank you for raising this matter. The proposed amendment should involve public input for it to take share of all the views of the whole internet community. By doing this all issues that might affect the internet community shall be accommodated and discussed at length. With the current situation where only a few parties are involved behind closed door meetings it doesn’t play a fair game. As an internet user who is affected I need to be involved in all necessary discussions and steps. That is my view and take for now.
