I strongly feel ICANN and Verisign should contact the domain managers like Namecheap for their opinions and agreement to any fee increment because any increases will be passed on to .com owners and this will be bad for business. I do not support any increases at this time. GIJELUMD.

I am a registrant of several .com domain names. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. I am a registrant of many .com domain names. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains unless there can be demonstrated a clear benefit to users from doing so. I have seen no such demonstration. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. To Whom it May Concern: My understanding is that .com domain names costs may increase beyond what is reasonable and good business practices. The proposed increase is unacceptable! It would be a huge pain to get a new domain name but I'd rather do that than be bullied. It would hurt so many to raise the prices so much. So much money is already being made on a virtual commodity, being .coms. What justification is there other than excessive greed? Where is this extra money going? Please, do not allow this to happen. Choose the high road. Be proud of your contribution to the internet as a whole and what it does for mankind. Don't make it unaccessable for those venues of communication, business, blogs, culture, etc. to function. Sincerely, Alannah Blanchard

I object to the proposal that allows above market rate price increases with no transparency on how the funds are to be directed. Increasing prices in-line with inflation is perfectly understandable but this proposal is completely unreasonable

This amendment is terrible and it only benefits Verisign. The internet is a haven of cheap innovation and spreading of information. By increasing the price of the most recognized TLD, you are hindering innovation. Other TLDs are not nearly as recognizable and many people refuse to trust going to websites on less recognized TLDs. When I think of who this price increase impacts, I think of students, technology enthuiasts, small businesses, nonprofits, and hobby programmers. Most of our clients are VERY small businesses and nonprofits and are not supportive of price increases. As I handle renewals for them and usually pay for them and wait for reimbursement, a price increase is a hardship. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign wants increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified.
