Dear Comments Manager, I would like to keep my Webpage for a small local photographer in the internet to be able to attract users that are using mobile devices it is the only chance to get new customers. I am already paying a good amount for my domain and if the price increases I would not be able to hold on to my .com Domain. Without a .com domain I would not be visible on the international market the way I am now. Please think of the small people before you make a decision that will take away from the ones that are struggling anyway. Thank you in advance.

I am a .com registrant and am associated with the secondary market. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign wants increases in .COM prices. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry, it has no business dictating the price - and already makes profits at current price levels in excess of the operating needs to maintain a registry. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. The public has a vested interest in reasonably priced domain registrations to foster innovation on the internet and allow the individuals to maintain a presence on the web. Merlin Roe

Dear ICANN, I'm protesting your recent changes in contract you've made in secret with Verisign, Inc. regarding the .COM top-level-dimain (TLD) that will cause huge price increases to all those who have a .COM address. These were made without consulting any of the public or those of us who have a .COM address and is completely devoid of any integrity, not to mention transparency. You are supposed to protect the public from deals such as this. You are a regulatory body, but this deal was conducted in secret. This should be illegal. Why was this 'deal' that affects millions made in secret, instead of involving the internet community? All I can think of is because you are greedy and indeed want to take advantage of a basically no regulated industry. I for one will work to try to stop the price increases that be will indeed implemented because of your secret deal, and contact will those responsible to oppose this and look into this much closer and expose your actions. I am a registrant of a .com domain name which I use for art and culture purposes. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. Giving one company the power to dictate the price for a vast number of people is unjust. This price change will increase corruption and lead to many individuals and small companies working hard on cultural, social and environmental causes to loose their platform for communication and disappear from the internet. Many won't be able to afford the proposed upcoming prices. Please defend the rights of people not the greedy corporations. The monopoly that is being offered to a single company out of the pocket of many individuals is dangerous and offensive. Tara Fatehi London, UK

I believe that allowing domain name prices for .com websites to rise 8 out of 10 years is patently wrong. Also it appears to be a very self-beneficial situation as ICANN receives 20 million dollars in exchange for allowing Verisign to increase prices. This seems patently wrong and appears to be a move for profiteering. Change this please! Aidan

Dear ICANN, My registrar has made me aware of your planned Amendment 3, which is an agreement between ICANN and Verisign to effectively increase .COM domain prices each year for the next eight years. This agreement is the second occasion where ICANN has ignored consultation with all stakeholders for finanical gain. I agree with my registrar that such changes should involve the input of all stakeholders; especially since there are also supposedly unrelated inward investment from Verisign that has all the hallmarks of corruption.
