Der Ladies and Gentleman, we own a two small buisnisses and two .com Domains. The com Domain is worldwide acknowledged and known. With the desired price increase, it would become way too expensive for normal users compared to other TLD domain endings. The biggest positive Thing about the Internet is it's accessibility. Not only for small buisnisses like ours, but even more for regular users like bloggers etc. Such a drastic price increase would drive people away from the com Domain to other, cheaper domains. We would also have to think about a swap to another cheaper Domain should this planned change go through as we are not willing to be a playball to create revenue out of. I hope you reconsider your planned price increase and Stop it. The com Domain would not where it is today with your newly planned prices and it will certainly lose a lot of accessibility and importance to regular users who want to register a TLD. The idea of increasing the fee, is not good. You are forcing people to start getting into research of a way to host their sites and platforms without your domain names. And you will fold up if this happens.

Hi There, I'd like to comment that I think the price increases for wholesale .coms is somewhat diproportionate and unfair and the position in which Verisign (who have a long track record of anti-consumer practices) finds itself is likely to be anti-consumer at best and potentially detrimental to the internet. Because they will have such a strangehold on pricing they can essentially create their own monopoly by having a favoured resseller whom they work with. I think this should be avoided at all costs. It would also be great to hear some plans of what ICANN will be doing with the extra funding. Thanks for reading and I urge you to reconsider Regards

Hi there, I came to know about the proposed hike in .COM pricing and just wanted to share that this will affect millions of startups who would start operating in dark or switch to some other domain name that won't be beneficial to their business. Specifically in countries such as India, this is a great time to start your own business and this step will not help in any way. Sometimes, it’s necessary to adjust prices. But I’d appreciate if such discussions are carried out transparently. Otherwise it seems as if there are personal interests at play, rather than an economic necessity. Thus, I oppose. Regards, Marlene

I am opposed to these price increases. They will have significant impacts to me, my business and to users across the entire internet. I am also opposed to Verisign conducting price structuring negotiations in private with no transparency or public input. Thank you, Han Winogrond
