Instead of being grateful for the customers who are using your system I hear that the plan is to significantly increase the price of all .com domains and it is not fair and not a good practice. A lot of us depend on our website for our business and this would put a significant burden to the point that domains will not be renewed. Please refrain from increasing the prices of .com domains. Dear ICANN, As a webhotel owner and IT consultant I find it unacceptable that you have given VeriSign the right to increase .com domain wholesale prices in the next 10 years, for even more than 70 percent in total. This can be in no relation to Verisign's real cost. This is what happens with natural monopoly. I will spread this story, and I urge you to back up with these plans, for the benefit of the whole internet infrastructure, business, and users throughout the world. Sirs-I am writing about this new agreement instituting a system that will allow for price increases continually for the next 10 years. I am strongly opposed to this operation. This is completely blindsiding the small developers of web sites who are not making money and are struggling to maintain their domains at current pricing. I oppose this proposed price increase for Verisign. Increase in .COM TLD will affect many individuals or small businesses who are just planning for their online presence. It will have a huge effect on developing countries like India. Also, it will also affect the open-source community and non-commercial websites. Please do your job and serve the public, not Verisign.

I am one of many opposition side against this increase of .com registry by Verisign. I own many .com sites most of which are for commercial use and some are for personal use. Rising the price to .com will make it less affordable. This change will definitely impact the internet for years.
