I find the increase of .COM prices outrageous and ridiculous. This proposal will make it harder for small businesses to be able to reach global audiences or even make ends meet as not every one is able to afford any sort of increase. I own 2 sites myself and any increase in prices will affect my ability to keep those sites as I will be quitting full-time job to become a stay-at-home mum in a few months time. The greater good and the property of mankind should sometimes guide you, and not pure financial gains. Please don't allow the price of .com domains to increase, it will especially hurt people in developing countries. The world is almost united and we all need and want the same things, unfortunately wealth is not equally divided as well.

Hi, I do NOT support the agreement which paves the way for price increase of .COM domains. Basically Verisign will give $20M to ICANN “to support ICANN’s initiative to preserve and enhance the security, stability and resiliency of DNS” and walks away with the ability to hike the price and hold on to it for perpetuity. The agreement clearly has commercial motivations. If ICANN requires funding to support its initiative can it not fund them through some temporary levies and have full ownership of the process. .COM is one of the original domain on the Internet, and should be accessible to all people of the planet at a reasonable price. Greetings from Ejiblog, First, let me begin by appreciating all you have done for me and for the world at large. You have made it easy and convenient for the world to access the Net, run businesses and many more. But on the contrary, if the. COM prize policy is changed from how it is to another, it will greatly affect all you are doing for me and the world at large. Many small businesses especially, uses the. COM, find it quite difficult to keep up with their businesses in terms of funding it, not to mention, when the. COM prize is increased. Considering the fact that most of those small businesses are. COM users, if you proceed with your plan, they will suffer. So, on behalf of ejiblog and the .COM users, I do hope you will consider the implications changing the prize policy would cause.
