*Re: Proposed Amendment 3 to the .COM Registry Agreement* I strongly oppose the agreement and am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. The main power of affordable domains pricing is to keep voices from people around the world heard Ideas stifle and the people are digitally trampled on when price becomes an obstacle especially in financially challenged zones. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices as this change would be a direct benefit to their fiscal bottom line. Keeping the status quo with pricing is positive for all domain owners and people who visit them. Dear sir/ madam, I have registered several domains, which I use for our small business. You might know that a website is a necessity for a business and specifically small businesses survive because of online presence only. Now, I'm not whining just because we run small business and trying to bargain over the costs. I do understand that every one deserves the earning for their work. But, Maintaining domains registry is not a manual labour anymore, it's been standardised and automated deceased ago. Plus everyday more and more domains are being purchased so there is a real good market share present. So I don't feel the increase in the prices is justified. Honestly the prices should lower based on the well established infrastructure, consumer demands and availability, but I understand the return of investment being the reason not to lower the prices.
