[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] Proposed Amendment 3 to the .COM Registry Agreement
by 老王 Feb. 9, 2020

Feb. 9, 2020
I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. LAOWANG Chengdu, Sichuan, China

I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. Cixin Ye Xiamen, Fujian, China

[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] Against .com pricing increase
by Subha Chanda Feb. 9, 2020

Feb. 9, 2020
The internet should be accessible to everyone and everyone who wants to make their online presence should be able to do it. The increasing rate of domains will create certain problems specially in the third world countries. ICANN should understand such problems.

[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] I don't think it's a good idea.
by Wason Liu Feb. 9, 2020

Dear Sir or Madam, I am a webmaster from Chengdu, Sichuan, the P.R.China.I oppose price increases for .COM domains. Everyone wants a lower threshold to build a website online. But Versign, a business company, doesn't think so. Their purpose is to earn money but not to make the Internet better. Versign is just a manager of the .COM registry and they can't determine the price. Nobody wants price increases for .COM domains but Versign. Excuse me for poor English. HC L, Chengdu, Sichuan, the P.R.China
