I am submitting my comment in regard specifically to the proposed removal of a price cap on .org domain names. It is completely unreasonable and unfair to expect small domain holders particularly (often non-profits or small businesses) to be able to pay unlimited domain name fees to their ISPs, which will have to pass on such increases to us, their customers. Holders of such domains, as mentioned, are often non-profits or small businesses with extremely limited budgets. Please don't allow the Public Interest Registry (PIR) to put unlimited increases on the wholesale price to ISPs of .org domains. No one wins (except PIR!) in such a scenario. And the losers will be both the domain holders and their users who depend on the online information such domains provide. Thank you. To whom it may concern, I am a .org registrant and run a not-for-profit website to benefit the public at my own expense supported only by donations. ICANN does not seem to recognize the difference between a legacy extension created with the support of the US government, that predates the existence of ICANN and that has millions of existing users and the brand new extensions that started off with a new set of rules, in particular no price controls, and no existing registrants. They have completely different characteristics, history, and ownership structure. It is not acceptable for ICANN to ignore these differences and to propose that they be treated the same. Allowing the .org registry to charge any price it wants for renewing a domain name is a grave mistake. Why should you allow them to set a crazy high price? It is apparent that they will try to force the domain owners to pay a very high price each year to renew their domain name, and if the domain owner either won't or can't, then the .org registry could take away their domain name, set a high registration price on it, and then try to find someone else who is willing to pay a high price for it. This is not only very unfair to long time .org domain owners who may see their prices raised sky high for no reason, but is an unethicial and immoral step toward Internet tyranny. The registries are doing fine. They don't need any help as they are already being making plenty of unearned money (providing no appreciable benefit) in what is already a monopoly scheme. Unrestrained price increases on the millions of .org registrants who are not-for-profits or non-profits would be unfair to them. Unchecked price increases have the potential to result in hundreds of millions of dollars being transferred from these organizations to one non-profit, the Internet Society, with .org registrants receiving no benefit in return. ICANN should not allow one non-profit nearly unlimited access to the funds of other non-profits. ICANN appears to be entirely catering to registries by removing price caps. As the Associate Director of a nonprofit organization, I am keenly aware of the budgetary constraints organizations like ours face. We put the largest portion of our fluctuating income to delivering impactful educational programs for children in Philadelphia Public Schools. Our website is a key portal for allowing us to connect with potential education partners, school teachers, and district administrators. If pricing-increase caps disappear from .org websites, our ability to provide these programs will be imperiled as we cannot budget for arbitrary and unexpected pricing increases. We implore you to maintain the current 10%/year pricing caps on .org domains so that our organization, and tens of thousands more like us, can continue to provide the programming and educational opportunities our communities' children need. Please do not allow for the uncapped price increase of .org domains. These domain names are used by positive social impact organizations that operate on very tight budgets and volunteer efforts. These domains in particular are the most sensitive to cost increase. Thank you, -Brian

Dear ICANN: I run a small non-profit site entirely through my own contributions. Please don’t allow aribitrary increases in the fees for registering domains. Particularly for .org domains, there should be no reason for anything other than cost-based changes. Thank you. =Chris=

Hello i with due regard, we are ok and use to the normal prices of domain why bringing news about increasing the price of domain remember is not everyone that uses domian for business ok so there any reason at all for increasing the prices of domain thanks...
