Dear Evin, thanks for this. The reason why I asked that we take this up on our CPWG mailing list, is that I have concerns that the new public comment system, including its explanation material, risk confusing end users commenting in the ALAC/At-Large Process: the explanation material refers to individuals filing individual comments themselves. This is of course very different from taking part in the bottom-up At-Large Statement drafting process. I don't think this has been made clear enough. As a result, with individuals being asked to create their own log-ins and being able to comment individually, I wonder how many people will continue using the At-Large process for public comment drafting? Will someone need an account to take part in the ALAC drafting process? What is the difference between the WIKI account that an At-Large commenter will take part in, and the ICANN account for public comment that will be rolled out? How do we avoid public confusion?
