Hi Dusan, In my studies many years ago I had an impression that for any Cyrillic letter it's possible to find a similar letter in Latin. I think it remains true for a Greek letters, so the cross-scripts similarity criteria for those three scripts is rather tricky. I think that the approach for Cyrillic and Greek scripts should be more or less uniform. On Sat, Jul 17, 2021 at 11:48 AM Dusan Stojicevic via Cyrillicgp < cyrillicgp@icann.org> wrote:
Dear all,
Anyone here? For the start - I disagree with the panel decision about uppercase. I find it mostly irrelevant. Then, I find many variants with Cyrillic not quite acceptable - f.e: U+03C2 ς Greek small letter FINAL SIGMA with ѕ U+0455 Cyrillic small letter DZE. That way we must redefine similarity... What do you think? Any thoughts?
Cheers, Dusan, Gransy

LOS ANGELES -15 July 2021
*Open Date*: 15 July 2021
*Close Date*: 26 August 2021
*Originating Organization*: Global Domains and Strategy (GDS) Purpose
The purpose of this Public Comment proceeding is to obtain community input on the proposal for Greek Script Root Zone Label Generation Rules (RZ-LGR) developed by the Greek Script Generation Panel (GP). As per the LGR Procedure <https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/lgr-procedure-20mar13-en.pdf>, the proposal (Proposal <https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/proposal-greek-lgr-15jul21-en.xm...> and Supporting Document <https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/proposal-greek-lgr-15jul21-en.pd...>) have been posted for community review. Based on the feedback received, the Greek Script GP will finalize and submit the proposal for integration into the Label Generation Rules for the Root Zone (RZ-LGR). Current Status
Currently, there are multiple script communities that have formed Generation Panels and are actively working towards finalizing Label Generation Rules (LGRs) for the root zone including Japanese, Latin, and Myanmar scripts. LGRs for the following 18 scripts have already been completed <https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/lgr-proposals-2015-12-01-en> and integrated: Arabic, Bangla, Chinese, Devanagari, Ethiopic, Georgian, Gujarati, Gurmukhi, Hebrew, Kannada, Khmer, Lao, Malayalam, Oriya, Sinhala, Tamil, Telugu, and Thai. In addition, Armenian, Cyrillic, and Korean scripts have also been completed and are waiting to be integrated. Next Steps
Following the Public Comment period and submission of the proposal by the Greek Script GP, which will reflect any changes due to community feedback, the Integration Panel (IP) will evaluate the proposal. If the proposal is successfully evaluated, it will be integrated into a subsequent version of the RZ-LGR <https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/root-zone-lgr-2015-06-21-en>. If not, the proposal will be sent back to the Greek Script GP with comments for further consideration and revision.
