Dear all, Anyone here? For the start - I disagree with the panel decision about uppercase. I find it mostly irrelevant. Then, I find many variants with Cyrillic not quite acceptable - f.e: U+03C2 ς Greek small letter FINAL SIGMA with ѕ U+0455 Cyrillic small letter DZE. That way we must redefine similarity... What do you think? Any thoughts? Cheers, Dusan, Gransy On Fri, Jul 16, 2021 at 4:41 PM Pitinan Kooarmornpatana via Cyrillicgp < cyrillicgp@icann.org> wrote:

Hi Dusan, In my studies many years ago I had an impression that for any Cyrillic letter it's possible to find a similar letter in Latin. I think it remains true for a Greek letters, so the cross-scripts similarity criteria for those three scripts is rather tricky. I think that the approach for Cyrillic and Greek scripts should be more or less uniform. On Sat, Jul 17, 2021 at 11:48 AM Dusan Stojicevic via Cyrillicgp < cyrillicgp@icann.org> wrote:

Dear Cyrillic GP members, Based on the discussion on this mailing list earlier, I'd like to draw your attention to review the Supporting Document<https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/proposal-greek-lgr-15jul21-en.pd...>, Section 6.3, "Summary of all variants". The Table 10 is the summary of variant mappings. The other tables list both similar cases and identical cases as information. In addition, this is a gentle reminder that the public comment proceeding for Greek script RZ-LGR proposal is approaching the closing date on 26 August. Having feedback from the relevant script GP is very important to finalize the proposal. Please visit the public comment page here<https://www.icann.org/public-comments/lgr-proposal-greek-script-2021-07-15-e...>. If you could submit the Cyrillic GP comment by 26 August, it will be highly appreciated.
