Olivier, Mainly in light of the EU proposal, the idea was put forward during the community plenary at RIPE 85 to form a Task Force to document best practices about how to run a public DNS resolver. The task force is a joint initiative between the RIPE DNS working group and the RIPE cooperation working group.
