I know that I am not going to make friends with this message, but that's it, I am used to say what I think anyway. Let me remind a couple of commitments included in the application form that *all* ALSes have agreed upon and signed. * Does your Organisation commit to supporting its individual constituents'/membership's informed participation in ICANN? * If your Organisation is accredited, will it commit to participating actively in the Regional At-Large Organisation (RALO) for the region in which your Organisation is based? In my opinion, organizations that have given no sign of life for years have failed to maintain the commitment that they have willingly signed: to keep them in will be an insult to the many who have provided volounteer work and support to ALAC. I believe that we should even think about more stringent criteria to apply for being an ALS, and to keep accreditation over time. Maybe time has come to discuss this. Many organizations require members to pay fees, EURALO requires no fees but participation, it is clearly spelled out. Not to participate in EURALO is equivalent to not to pay membership fees to an organization. And this is normally a good reason for suspension of organizational membership, and, if not corrected, expulsion. Cheers, Roberto

Hello,
just for clarification: the problem of some not-responding ALSes didn't bump up just recently but was discussed over the last 3 years when these ALSes were listed and known as problem cases already! Anybody could have stepped in and help to push them -- what was repeatedly done by myself without any response over years. Don't tell me that anybody who WANTS "to be heard" is not getting a chance of being heard at EURALO.
If you take the time and read the reasons specified to each candidate and case (see attached PDF - all done in my free time BTW), you will see that they got their chance "to be heard" and to respond to it.
Best, Wolf

Dear Werner,
Thank you very much for your answer. I fully support your position - "in my view, any organization whose exclusion is pre see, should get a chance to be heard", and I did my best to initiate ANY discussion at least.
Keep in touch, Best regards, Oksana

Dear Oksana,
I met members of Terre de Femmes at various events. If I had known that wolf is looking for them, I would have been able to ask them directly.
But since I have read it only a few days ago, I could only tell him the official office address. I know this is not so much help. But more than a side note, it should not be. And I did not want to initiate a discussion about it already. However, in my view, any organization whose exclusion is pre see, should get a chance to be heard.
Kind regards,
Werner

Do you know anybody from TERRE DES FEMMES e. V in person?
Is it possible for you to contact them directly?
