I agree with William here. france@large has itself made protected the EuroIGF.eu domain names and keeps them avaiable to the benefit of the European Digital Ecosystem members in the ways that will emerge as the most appropriate. This kind of things takes time and common thinking. When people think it is time for European ICANN @larges, non-ICANN European @larges, Consumer associations, business organizations, standardisation structures, regalian bodies to discuss such an Euro-IGF issues, we will willingly open a public mailing list. jfc
Ok, then here's two centimes: While Euralo is part of and focused on the ICANN nexus, it doesn't seem inappropriate to me to simply lend our name in support of useful external dialogues that involve significant ICANN-related components. Assuming the events in question are substantively reasonable and organized by non-problematic parties, this seems a low risk opportunity to do much needed outreach. However, I'm sure you would agree that in the future such matters should be discussed and agreed first, per standard practice, right?
Cheers,
Bill
