For example, my clients include: Escrow companies Finance companies Individual lenders These people not only need to confirm ownership (marketable title) but also perform KYC (know your customer) and AML (anti money laundering) verification which includes comparing the domain registrant to the payor/payee. Money lenders need relevant data to perfect security interests. Feedback from Saturday session and prep for Wednesday session

All, I realize that most of you are attending ICANN60 remotely this week, so I wanted to provide you with an update on yesterday's F2F session. You can find the recording of yesterday's session on the wiki meeting page: https://community.icann.org/x/eyMhB. Notes and a transcript will be posted there by Monday. In short, based on yesterday's session and discussion of other team's outputs, we may wish to review this team's output to ask ourselves: - Are the tasks covered in our output so diverse and distinct that we may have more than one purpose? If so, how would we split them up? - Is there any overlaps with other purposes? If so, which purposes covered by other teams are related or overlap? - Is there any data collected specifically for this purpose? If so, which data? Or does this purpose use only data collected for other purposes? - How might we reframe our summary definition in this way: "Information collected to enable contact between the registrant and <who> <to accomplish what>" We have an opportunity now to refine our output prior to Wednesday's F2F session to answer the above questions. I believe that Erica may be the only DT4 member here in Abu Dhabi. Erica, let's try to find a time to briefly meet in person here to prep for Wednesday's session. In addition, would any of you be available for a DT4 call on Tuesday (am in North America, pm here in Abu Dhabi) to discuss the above questions, or can we try to answer these via email? Best, Lisa

Team 4, Thanks to Erica and Sam for their suggested edits. Attached is a proposed-final draft to be submitted (without markups) to the full WG for discussion at ICANN60. Red text and in-line comments denote changed passages. I also deleted the table from the EWG report that had been included for easy reference. Please reply to this drafting team list today with confirmation that you agree v5 (clean) is ready to go to the full WG, or propose specific edits you feel are necessary today before sharing with the full WG. If no changes are agreed by this team as necessary by 24.00 UTC today 25 October, I will relay a clean version of this draft to the WG mailing list and post it on the wiki with other ICANN60 meeting materials. This team is scheduled to introduce and answer questions about this purpose on Wednesday afternoon at ICANN60. Erica, thanks for volunteering to give that introduction on behalf of the team. Note the EWG table is still contained in the attached v4 for easy reference during document review, but will be removed from the next draft. Is it important to tease out the different kinds of buyers - small business owners, corporations, domain brokers? . Replace "and small businesses..." with "and third-parties (i.e., small businesses...) wishing to purchase domain names... . Delete sentence "This includes cases where..." as it is covered in the first sentence and expanded later in the definition. Questions/Edits to Tasks: . Thanks very much Benjamin. Rob, please share your own background with the team, and let's move ahead today into critiquing draft text. Our deadline for output is just one week from today. Seeing no volunteers for drafting a list of tasks, I will put forth a list of tasks this morning, drawn from our kick off call, for this team's feedback. In the meantime, I urge all of you to provided feedback on the list of users helpfully drafted by Erica yesterday. The leadership team does realize our timeframe is quite short, but it is critical that we all engage in a fruitful exchange of ideas about our assigned purpose (business domain name purchase/sale) to provide the full WG with a foundation for discussion in Abu Dhabi. We really need to make good use of face-to-face meeting time by heading into that meeting with draft definitions for discussion.
