Hello ICANN, The downloaded zone file for .top has been empty now for 4 days in a row. On the last successful download it was the 6th largest zone file. The top.txt.gz file is 20 bytes. A zone file retrieved from the registrar that is empty should never be passed on to the API for downloads. This process is lacking the most elementary checks and alerts. Perhaps surprisingly, that's not what I see, my recent counts of total and signed delegations seen in the downloaded ".top" TLD zone are: Same here. I have a count as of 2025-07-03, but yesterday's and today's .top zonefile as fetched from CZDS is indeed empty. It seems I overlooked a safety net I have in place, my code skips (not silently, but I have to check the logs) zones files that don't start and end with identical SOA records. So *empty* .top zone data leaves the previous day's data in place.
I did indeed run into an empty zone file yesterday, which was consequently ignored. The zone file is still empty today.
