Please comment. 1. Minutes approval from Aug 19 and Aug 26 conference calls – 3 minutes 2. Consensus building document – 45 minutes 3. Side meetings at ICANN51 – remaining time Alissa
Thanks Alissa, the ICG liaison to the ICANN Accountability & Governance Cross Community Group should be selected before ICANN51. I wonder whether we could find some time to discuss the process timeline (nominations etc.). Hi Wolf-Ulrich, Is there some uncertainty about the existence and role definition of that liaison still somewhat uncertain until the accountability process itself is finalized after the current comment period completes? I’m thinking that perhaps we could start our discussion about this on the mailing list and aim to complete it during or shortly after our next call (Oct 1). FWIW, my view is that we should first wait for the open comment period to close, and absorb the comments, if any, on the pieces of the suggested process that is relevant to us. Patrik On 16 sep 2014, at 17:01, Alissa Cooper <alissa@cooperw.in> wrote:

I would think that its appropriate for us to lay out a structure we think would help us, as an opening concept, while the other process is still in development. This should not be something dictated to us but rather developed jointly with us. Now seems to be the appropriate time to start thinking about it. On 9/16/2014 5:11 PM, Patrik Fältström wrote:

Ah, I reacted too soon to Wolf's message, hadn't seen this yet. If we can defer the decision to the Oct 1 call, it would be better. I doubt the comment period on the ICANN process will alter the need to appoint a liaison, but we could probably devote more time to the topic if it were deferred. --MM

Agree with Wolf about this. Since I won't be on the call, I will suggest now that we actually consider two liaisons: one from the generic names and one from the country codes. If the ICANN AGCCG insists that they can only have one, they can switch off as necessary (e.g., when one cannot attend a meeting the other one might be able to).
