Thank you Olivier, I should also point out one other point that will be new this year. The 2013 NomCom may overlap the 2012 in terms of appointing candidates and initial briefings. In the past, the new NomCom would not sit or meet at all until the previous one finished at the AGM. The Board Governance Committee, and the General Counsel have approved a change to that. The 2013 committee can meet and be brief before the Toronto meeting, so we can get started earlier. What we will NOT do is actually take applications until after the AGM. But we can prepare for it ahead of time. Typically we lose the months between the Selection Meeting of the previous NomCom and the AGM. Given the tremendous workload of the NomCom, more time is beneficial to the process. So I may be asking you to appoint your members for 2013 in the next couple of weeks. But Jackie will continue to be the 2012 rep until the AGM, and the 2012 NomCom is in power until then. The 2013 is just in pre-preparation phase. One question: Can we continue with the process and in case to be another representative invite him/her to Toronto, to be with Jacqueline as we use to do it with the new ALAC Members?? No problem, as long as everyone in LACRALO is clear that any work I do from now to October is legitimate and the NomCom is legitimate and its decisions are legitimate. The NomCom relies on the trust and confidence of ALL the stakeholders in the MSH model, so it's important that there is no-one who holds the idea that NomCom decisions voted on by me after July 31, 2012 are illegitimate That would place all the decisions of the NomCom under a cloud, IMO. Here we go, again. First thing I did was to check the original Spanish to ensure it was not an error in translation. This declaration is plain wrong! The NomCom representative's term ends at the *beginning* of the Annual General Meeting. That is the ICANN *Board Meeting* at Toronto in October 2012. This raises a concern whether the Secretariat is mindful of the bye-laws or merely derelict in duty. Now know this. The NomCom Chair has the responsibility to request the ALAC nominate and send representatives to NomCom for 2012-2103. So far as I know, that Chair, Rob Hall, has not yet requested any such thing of the ALAC. It is the ALAC Chair that makes the call for nomination of candidates from the five (5) At-Large regions. I cannot recall any discussions in ALAC on this matter. Neither have I seen any announcement from the ALAC Chair. It is the ALAC that decides and returns NomCom representatives. We have three very serious issues. One, this false declaration could create confusion for those who will inevitably see the Secretariat's message weeks from now. The business of the 2011-2012 NomCom is ongoing. And for this region, it could inadvertently message that with expiration of the representative's mandate as at July 31, 2012 makes all her actions in the NomCom thereafter illegitimate. Second, this places our representative in disrepute. Third, this means the NomCom process would be tainted and, thusly, called into disrepute. We cannot have this.
