Thank you Álvaro for your kind words. You are right, thanks for the links. But countries that do not need a visa, like Colombia, also have the specter of inadmission. The organizers must work on this issue and on the mistreatment that sometimes occurs at immigration, especially at the Cancun airport. Thank you for pointing out that in the case of the few Venezuelans who are in icann, the terms to apply for the visa in Mexico are practically impossible to comply with in comparison to the terms to apply for the U.S. visa. In addition, in the case of obtaining a visa in Mexico, the times are exaggeratedly high, the airport does not allow you to enter just for being Venezuelan. The recent mistreatment of the Mexican authorities towards Venezuelans who enter legally is humiliating, I know this because some relatives emigrated before the issue of the visa for a delicate medical issue and were mistreated. Keep in mind my experience has been with several countries which requested me a visa that showing a US B1/B2 tourist visa or Schengen travel visa (as well as COVID vaccine papers) helps expedite the application. As an immigration lawyer, I can also recommend showing upon entry a credit card or proof of solvency to pay your expenses (and of COVID vaccination) even if citizens your country are not required to apply for a visa, as border officials have discretion to return a traveller - even if it happens 0.0001% of the time. As of today, the Mexico gob.mx website informs they require visa for passport holders of the following LACRALO countries: *Antigua* *Brasil* *Cuba* *Nicaragua* *Dominican Rep* *Ecuador* *El Salvador* *Guatemala* *Honduras* *St Kitts* *St Vincent* *Venezuela*
If you do not have a direct flight to Mexico, check also the visa requirements for the countries where you will be connecting flights.
Keep in mind my experience has been with several countries which requested me a visa that showing a US B1/B2 tourist visa or Schengen travel visa (as well as COVID vaccine papers) helps expedite the application. As an immigration lawyer, I can also recommend showing upon entry a credit card or proof of solvency to pay your expenses (and of COVID vaccination) even if citizens your country are not required to apply for a visa, as border officials have discretion to return a traveller - even if it happens 0.0001% of the time.
I already registered to attend and hope ICANN76 in Cancun becomes a great opportunity to meet fellow LACRALO members in person!

Gracias por señalar que en el caso de los pocos venezolanos que están en icann los terminos para solicitar la visa en mexico son practicamente imposible de cumplir en comparación con los términos a aplicar para los EE.UU. visa.
Además, en el caso de obtener una visa en México, los tiempos son exageradamente alto, el aeropuerto no te deja entrar solo por estar Venezolano. El reciente maltrato de las autoridades mexicanas hacia venezolanos que entran legalmente es humillante, lo se porque algunos familiares emigrados antes de la emisión de la visa por un delicado médico problema y fueron maltratados.
Por este motivo, opté personalmente por la opción de no solicitar este reunión debido a las limitaciones de la visa y la manera humillante en que Los venezolanos son tratados (esto ha sido ampliamente documentado por los derechos humanos organizaciones).

Thank you Álvaro for your kind words. You are right, thanks for the links. But countries that do not need a visa, like Colombia, also have the specter of inadmission. The organizers must work on this issue and on the mistreatment that sometimes occurs at immigration, especially at the Cancun airport.
