Hi Dennis, I take your point about TLDs and SLDs. On the other hand, the recent ICANN document about SLDs talks about variants as well. But without laying out which symbols would be variants. The work that we (and the other Generation Panels) are doing about variants is, as far as I can tell, the ONLY compilation of what those are that ICANN has produced. Hence my use of "domain names". However I'm fine with your proposed revision.
