Dear Tijani and All, First my apologies for missing yesterday’s call. Regarding the proposal of reviewing the charter, I believe it’s essential that, before we begin any such work, we establish clarity on the current membership space, we need clarity on who its members are. Specifically, we need to know who is subscribed to the mailing list and thus entitled to contribute to the work of the space. This lack of clarity was one of the main reasons we never conducted elections in the past – except for the most recent leadership elections, which proceeded without the benefit of a fully validated membership base. Establishing such clarity now will enable us not only to move forward with the charter review but also to ensure our work is inclusive and transparent. Accordingly, I propose we start with validating the membership base of the space, which will embark on its work starting with the review of the charter. In case my proposal is accepted, I'm ready to participate in the efforts of the review.
