At least at this time, Air Canada has four flights a day from Toronto to the White Plains airport (HPN). Most of the major US carriers have a number of daily trips to/from their hubs (Atlanta, Chicago, Washington).
Having lived not too far from Yonkers, and having flown in and out of both LGA (LaGuardia) and HPN (White Plains), most people would be better off going to LGA unless there are nonstop flights to and from HPN exactly when you want to go. Yonkers isn't exactly the most fabulously convenient place in the country, but it is within daytrip distance of close to half the population, anyone from Chicago east, Toronto south, and D.C. north.
