Michael, My recollection is that we had agreed a few months ago to hold discussions on our documents on NA-DISCUSS so that everybody could participate, certified or not. If there are votes to have, then I guess these would be reserved for certified ALSes and made on the NA-ALS list, _________________________________________ Luc Faubert Conseiller en gouvernance TI et en gestion du changement / IT governance and change management consulting +1 514 236 5129 www.LucFaubert.com <http://www.lucfaubert.com/> www.LucFaubert.com/blog www.isoc.qc.ca <http://www.isoc.qc.ca/> www.ccig.ca <http://www.ccig.ca/> www.maillons.qc.ca <http://www.maillons.qc.ca/> ________________________________ From: na-discuss-bounces@atlarge-lists.icann.org [mailto:na-discuss-bounces@atlarge-lists.icann.org] On Behalf Of Michael Maranda Sent: 15 avril 2007 18:29 To: jam@jacquelinemorris.com Cc: At-Large Staff; travel-staff@atlarge-lists.icann.org; na-discuss@atlarge-lists.icann.org Subject: Re: [NA-Discuss] RSVP deadline irrelevant/changed? Even conference calls need a little advance notice and planning. We need to have some clarity on how and when we have consensus or agreement on what next. Also, need clarity on who has standing on anything. As an applicant organization, I frequently don't know what to say... (as a result of that standing). -MM On 4/15/07, Jacqueline A. Jacob had a count of who had voted for a meeting...I think it was 7/12 ALSes plus 2 ALS applicants but then consensus seemed to have been achieved around a teleconference this coming week. Then Robert today sent an email with strong suggestions for moving the meeting to Montreal. So a final decision should be made in the next few days if you want to meet in the beginning of May, as time will be short there. I'd suggest by the middle/end of this week, the group should decide on place and time for a f2f meeting before San Juan. So far you have the Yonkers option and the Montreal option for venue. Given the amount of on-list discussion regarding whether to have a face-to-face meeting and if so, where and when to have such a meeting, I'd like to suggest to staff that the "April 15" deadline for indicating travel needs -- in an invitation sent April 10 -- is not plausible. Can you please assure the NA list that if there is to be a meeting someplace, failure to respond by the 15th does not waive ICANN travel funding?
