Dear Members, This charter has come a long way with lots of volunteer work put into it. We encourage our members to kindly make comments towards the final review of this body of work. Caleb and. Raoul Sorry to have missed the first request. I have gone through and suggested edits and made comments. In a few cases I have suggested improvements in the English. The major issue I found was there was not a clear distinction between individiuals whor belong to/are affiliated with/are members of a Member organization and Member Organizations. “Member” used for both the NPOC member organizations and individuals who are not themselves members of NPOC. Please note that I am always happy to assist in editing governing documents for ICANN and ISOC. It has been one of my jobs in life as a lawyer for non-profits. But I also am perfectly happy to not. have my edits or suggestions accepted. I am available for further consultation, if desired. John More

Hello Caleb , Thanks for sharing and great work Roaul, personally I am happy with it, and I know that no charter is perfect, but it covers all the necessary aspects that are required for NPOC to operate better moving ahead. Thank you all! This charter will guide us over the next 5-10 years, so this is virtually a now or never kind of moment to comment on it. In the EC meeting on the ninth of May, we intend to hand this charter over for the last time, and after that the opportunity to change anything on it is gone for a long time. It seems completely bonkers how much time this charter has taken from us all together, and thus almost unfathomable that we're finally starting to see the end of this process that started in 2017. It's still not too late to be part of this.. rather epic process! -Raoul On Wed, 27 Apr 2022 at 20:23, Poncelet Jokkolabs Banjul < pileleji@jokkolabs.co> wrote:
Hello Caleb ,
Thanks for sharing and great work Roaul, personally I am happy with it, and I know that no charter is perfect, but it covers all the necessary aspects that are required for NPOC to operate better moving ahead.
Kudos to all those that have worked on it, it's finally seeing the end of the tunnel from the early days .
Peace

Dear Members,
This charter has come a long way with lots of volunteer work put into it.
We encourage our members to kindly make comments towards the final review of this body of work.
We totally understand volunteer work is difficult during this relative post-covid era. However, we need you as you all hold an important role in the entire multistakeholder process.
Hence, the call for comments. Please bear in mind that we have less than 10 days to make our comments from the time of this posting.
Periodically, I shall be sending reminders to us to kindly make our inputs.
Warm regards

If you have any concerns, please comment in the document in the next two weeks and we can discuss them well ahead of the next NPOC EC meeting, which is taking place on the ninth of May. The deadline for comments is on the 2nd of May.
After we've reviewed the charter we'll hopefully be able to return this work for its final destination in the Board Organizational Effectiveness Committee. Let's get this done!
