Dear Constituency and Stakeholder Groups Chairs,
*Please reply no later than Friday 9th September 2022*
After a first successful hybrid meeting in The Hague last June, the Board and I are looking forward to meeting you again soon, in Kuala Lumpur, for our 24th AGM. While COVID is not a thing of the past, the Board and the organization are working together to ensure that the strongest safety & security measures will be put in place to provide the best possible meeting environment to keep us as safe as possible. We will keep informing you about the status of those plans based on health and safety developments as we get closer to the meeting.
Before taking a well-deserved break this summer, we are actively preparation our meetings during ICANN75(17-22 September). The Board and I would like to propose the following topics for discussion during our time together:
“What collaborative actions should the Community, Board and Org be undertaking to further progress achieving our strategic priorities?”
We are proposing to keep the suggestion to dedicate half of our time together to discuss this topic and half the time to discuss the topic of your choice or answer the questions you might have.
We would therefore like to invite you to submit your topic of interest and/or questions (please consider the limited time) to our Board Operations team (board-ops-team@icann.org <mailto:board-ops-team@icann.org>) no later than Friday 9 September 2022.
As usual, your suggested questions and/or topic for discussion will be published and circulated in the Policy digest, as always, which will facilitate transparency and allow the groups to deepen their own understanding of their peers’ point of views on different issues.
We look forward to hearing your thoughts, questions or topics of interest and to exchange with you constructively.
Best regards,
Maarten Botterman Chair, ICANN Board of Directors

I think concentrating on how to maximize efficiency in the hybrid convention world is of the utmost priority. I suspect it's already on their topic list, but it's worth pointing out from our perspective as RSSAC (like most groups) has a very distributed set of participants. -- Wes Hardaker USC/ISI

I think I need more words from you. Are you suggesting offering this as a testbed for hybrid meetings?
If I understand the question on what could be a work item, I would propose a reflexion to make hybrid meetings work efficiently and monitor how to improve it over time. My impression is that all meetings will become hybrid, meaning that a large number of participants will attend remotely.
From the IETF experience there are quite a lot of considerations regarding the schedule, time zones,.... and probably much more to consider.
