I'm not a big fan of Mailman either, but if you're looking for open source list management packages, there's Mailman (written in python) and Sympa (written in perl) and not a whole lot else. Majordomo2 is a nice design but it's abandoned and its web interface is painful. I also don't think you'll find much agreement about what list packages should do beyond maintaining lists of subscribers and forwarding mail to them. R's, John
