Those discussions centered on the fact that the ASO operates quite differently than ALAC, GAC, GNSO in terms of how it delegates decision-making. The concept of "membership" as we would understand it on the GNSO side does not fit. In effect, the decisionmaking for the ASO falls to a set of representatives and each organization underneath may have different ways of designating those representatives. The organizations may or may not have members as we understand the term. The core issue is with the term "members" when it comes to overall transparency and review of proposed board removal actions. I think that my solution may work and ask for your input ASAP so that we can forward to the ASO for feedback. If you think a call is required, then we can schedule one for next Wednesday at our usual time. Otherwise, we can use the list. If you desire a call, please let me know so we can schedule one.
