One thing that keeps recurring is the question of ICANN's global accountability for the IANA transition to the broad multistakeholder Internet community - a question Jan has articulated several times: who watches the watchers. I attended a meeting on Moday of ICANN's Working Group on Internet Governance which discussed the various initiatives at play in the Internet Governance ecosystem and it struck me that the NETmundial initiative may be well-positioned to play a role in a form of global accountability function because unlike the IGF it can take actions regarding Internet Governance.
