AFRALO comments on the ICG and CCWG proposals
Dear AFRALO members, Please find attached for your comments the draft statement that AFRALO wants to make commenting on the ICG proposal and the CCWG second report that Tijani BEN JEMAA and Seun Ojedeji prepared. These Documents would represent the opinion of AFRALO in response to public comments, which will be closed on 8 September 2015 for ICG Public comment and 12 September for CCWG Public comment. Hello Remmy, There is the option to remove board members at board level (which currently exist)[1]. What is being proposed by the CCWG is the ability to remove board members by the community. Usually in most organisation, removal of board members by the organisation members does not require the board's approval and that is what the CCWG proposes. However we (AFRALO) are saying that the process to spill the entire both should be more difficult by requiring it to be initiated by more than 1 community within ICANN. I hope that helps clarify.
