[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] Proposed Amendment 3 to the .COM Registry Agreement
by Van White Feb. 12, 2020

Feb. 12, 2020
I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. VAN H WHITE NEWPORT NEWS

[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] Proposed Amendment 3 to the .COM Registry Agreement
by Luis Liceaga Feb. 12, 2020

I am a domainer (I invest in domain names as a business). I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry - it has no business dictating the price as there is no actual hosting, emailing, or any other service provided by Verisign for my registered domains. [Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] Concerns Re: Proposed Amendment 3 to the .COM Registry Agreement
by James Kelley Feb. 12, 2020

Feb. 12, 2020
Dear ICANN, There needs to be a more transparent and open process in regulating the pricing structure for the .com Registry. While Verisign manages the .com Registry, it does not own it. As such, it has no business dictating the price without a competitive bidding process that is open, transparent, and in the best interests of the public. I am a registrant of a .com domain name, and I am vehemently against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. ICANN has a duty to govern the domain name system in the public interest, and the price increases are not in the public interest. James Kelley Boston, MA

[Comments-com-amendment-3-03jan20] Opposition to .COM wholesale pricing changes
by Gary Von Schilling Feb. 12, 2020

Feb. 12, 2020
I’m against the proposed changes affecting .COM domain prices for registrars. It is very important that these prices remain affordable for individuals and small businesses who purchase domains. If anything, we should be capping prices and lowering hurdles of entry for domain ownerships, as these become more important for people and businesses as time goes on. Thanks, Gary Von Schilling
