To Whom It May Concern; I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. "Verisign agreed to pay ICANN an additional $20 million dollars over five years to support ICANN's domain name system initiatives, without any clarity about how ICANN will spend the money, or who will ensure that the funds are properly spent on domain infrastructure.“ Please clarify content and accountability as well as transparency of your initiative. The price should be decreasing rather than staying the same or going up. I imagine that the overall costs have been decreasing while profit has been increasing so it would be nice to have at least some of those savings passed on.

You're a bunch of hustlers and scammers. Running a database is not that difficult. Internet registration should be done solely as a .org/non-profit basis. It should cost end users close to nothing to register a domain. The amount of money you are making is appalling. Fuck you and Verisign. They and icann are a wasteful, bloated administrative entity that should not even exist. It is absolutely pointless for Verisign to be allowed stewardship of the .com domain when they have no competition. You have a fostered an evil monopoly and we all know you love this corrupt system. Fuck all of you. Your organizations are un-American and counterintuitive to everything our system of commerce stands for. You're a bunch of fucking greedy jagoffs. Fuck your families and the entitled little shits you're creating. You're breeding greed and corruption. You contribute nothing. You've allowed systems to perpetuate that scam people out of money with things such as "privacy protection." Indeed, "Simply give us more money and we'll protect your privacy!" Really? Good Morning, I am a registrant and webmaster for several .com domain names and am strongly opposed to the proposed price increase to .com domains. In a free country with rules against monopolies it is strange that a deal between two private corporations can impact hundreds of thousands of users and owners without any sort of an alternative. $7.85 is more than justified considering that Version is merely the manager of the .com registry and apart from that does nothing else to service the domains. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain system based on the public’s interest and the only interests being considered here are Verisign’s and ICANN. Please reconsider this proposal. I vehemently oppose increasing the cost for .com registration. This amendment gives Verisign a blank check, allowing them to continue raising prices beyond what is reasonable. .COM registration prices are already too high! I am a registrant of two .com domain names, both of which are for personal, not-for-profit use. I am opposed to the proposed price increase to .com domains. I do not believe Verisign has any business dictating the price of .com domains. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest, and I fear it is at risk of failing to do so. Hello, I am writing to you today to share my doubts regarding the deal with Verisign. ICANN is one of the foundation of the Internet and in my idea a neutral organisation, an association in fact, that has the common good and the development of the Internet at the heart of its mission. While I understand that you need financing the latest deal with Verisign pretty much resemble to a $20m bribe from Verisign to get a bigger share of its control on the Internet and domains. These ginormous organisations getting close to monopolistic position or at least disproportionate power compared to other players is destroying competition and innovation. Just look at internet providers in the US! I think a lot of people are watching you, I hope you wont destroy decades of good work and a reputation for short term financial incentives.
