Hello, I would like to request that you maintain the .com registry at it current cost to consumers. I have a domain name for my personal use for accessing my home network and having an email address that does not change across different internet service providers. As I do not use the domain name for profit, I cannot afford to keep it should the price change very much. Thank you, Craig Kalem

The proposal to allow Verisign to buy their way towards a monopoly in domain name registry by PAYING ICANN to assert price increases which the majority of Domain registrars disagree with and without consulting them is ethically wrong and dangerous for business. It is a blatent attempt to shut down other domain registrars and the price increases proposed are a measure to price out the general public from accessing domain registration and building their own websites and online businesses. This is by design so that the takeover of the internet by large corporate entities can begin as control of the internet roles out in conjunction with the roll out of harmful 5g technology and the re organisation of world power. As well as the shadow banning and censorship of non mainstream alternative viewpoints on current and historial events. Domain price highjacking without consultation with internet providers and users should be illegal and the relevant parties involved should be taken to court in a class action lawsuit.

the internet is for everyone, not just the reach. And not just the massive corporations. I have been running a small sole proprietor business for over 30 years. I have registered two domain names with a .com extension nearly 20 years ago. I initially dealt with Verisign and over the years they became more and more greedy, charging me higher and higher fees despite a limited small scale website. the user interface became more convoluted and difficult and the customer support declined to almost useless. I eventually sought out other avenues to keep my domains registered and another hosting site that was reasonably priced and actually helpful. Now I learn that ICANN is basically taking a "bribe" or a cut off the top to allow Verisign unrestricted abilities to increase prices. Thanks for ruining it for the little guy. The mom and pop businesses that are just having a small web presence. Name Cheap and HostGator have made it financially and technically possible for me to keep my small business and it's 20 year old website up and running. Now Verisign is making sure that I will most likely have to pay significantly more as they try to crowd out, price out any competition by dictating the over price for domain registration to fall in line with their inflated pricing schemes. ICANN and Verisign have now fallen into the same category as massive corporate banks and insurance companies who do not give a damn except for making a profit and improving shareholder value, while taking advantage of the simple small organisations that allowed them to start in the first place. Income inequality at its best, corporate bureaucracy trodding on the little guy. Thanks for making it even harder. Typically, public opinion matters especially when decisions such as these affect a majority. .COM domains are the largest TLDs and should not experience this price hike. I am a domainer (I invest in domain names as a business). I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry - it has no business dictating the price. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. Dear Sir Referring to the subject, we as reseller for domain & hosting services in Malaysia do not agree to proceed with the amendment as .com domains affects worldwide domain owners. Kindly clarify the following : 1. Why is only Verisign involved in this initiative? 2. What about participation from the Internet community and other players in the market to contribute to this framework? 3. The US$ 20 million funding from Verisign does not seem appropriate as ICANN is an organization that provide accreditation to many other companies. What are the measures to ensure the money does not affect the decision-making process in ICANN? We believe in making Internet accessible to all and further increase in domain price does not support that goal. Thank you.
