Dear ICANN, As an online small business owner, I would like to personally request that the ICANN community and other major stakeholders be consulted before changing the pricing on TLDs. The accessibility of maintaining personal and small business websites is a huge factor in maintaining a diverse internet community. Please do not exclude representatives of the larger internet community (domain name registrars etc.) from this decision in order to keep the internet open and accessible for everyone. I'm writing to object to the proposed amendment to the .COM registry agreement. At this point, there is no clear justification for the proposal to allow price increases for .COM registration. The underlying cost has not changed and there is no presentation beyond some vague "supporting initiatives regarding security and stability ...". I feel that a precise plan presenting what these initiatives would do and what they would cost is necessary to justify any price increase. Truly yours, François Bronsard

I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. -- Best Regards Rui
