Dear Sir or Madam, I am against the ICANN and Verisign agreement to increase the prices of .COM domains. The prices has been $7.85 since 2012, and I believe it should stay the same. .COM domains make up a large percentage of registered domain names and the proposed decision to increase the prices would impact many business and individuals who use .COM domains. It would make these domains less accessible if the prices increase. I personally own two domain names and as an individual it would effect me if the prices are increased. Of course the price increase will not financially break me, but it should not be increased as this will lead to a monopoly, where the prices could be increased without limit. The decision to increase .COM domain prices will not have positive effects, but would cause many people and business to abandon their .COM domains and switch to more affordable domain names. I believe, in the end it will be a bad financial decision for all parties involved. Sincerely, Gabor Kevin Barta

To whom it may concern, I have one thing to say and a few questions: First I don’t agree with the price raise. Specially of an intangible good that basically masks an IP address and should not even be sold in the first place. My questions would be: How do you justify this? I am a registrant of a .com domain name. I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest. david kochanek Ann Arbor

Dear icann.org, I am not eager to see .com TLD prices skyrocket without input from the community.I propose that participants who currently register the .com TLD be given proxy votes to ratify proposed price increases.Otherwise, a monopoly is simply making unilateral decisions about pricing and consumers have no options to take their business elsewhere. I'm writing in opposition of the recent deal with Verisign. The internet will only continue to be a democratic, inclusive place if it continues to be affordable. Any price increases to .com domains will push people away from the internet, something bad for everyone. Please revise your plans. Best, Colin
