Hi, You suddenly decided to increase your price on >com domains. I don’t know why you find that is a wise decision . if you did your market research properly you should know that .Com domains are there for a long time. That’s why many people cannot find available domains for their respected company. And they buy .xyz or others. And they are cheaper than yours. I am distressed to hear that ICANN is allowing Verisign to increase prices like this without even soliciting input from .com domain name owners. Many of us are small business owners. This will significantly affect and hurt our ability to survive with the possibility of increases up to 70%. I will not be able to afford this. I have a small voiceover business. It is tough enough to compete for fair prices in the marketplace without these companies taking even more from us without even explaining why. I am definitely against this. Thank you. To whom this may concern, The proposed amendment is a clear example of actions taken on by a monopoly to benefit only a single entity. This anti-consumer amendment is fraught with conflicts of interest. We need a better way to handle "domain investors". Hisham Al-Beik Owner of 4 .com domains.

Hi, Price increases will hurt me and help me. Hurt in that the price increases are too great for small fry like me. Help in that I for one will look for other ways to make my internet needs work. It seems possible, to me, that you have a captive market that you do exceptionally well with. It also seems to me that you have the possibility of losing the vast majority of us as there are a lot of exceptional people who will find another way. I hereby declare my opposition to ICANN’s changes in its contracts which allow domain price increases, in particular for .com. Any such changes behind closed doors, without consulting Internet users, strain credibility of ICANN being a non-profit organization and will only harm the Internet as a whole.
