Hello, I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. ICANN is supposed to govern the domain name system in the public interest.

I don’t feel these changes are fair, and have been made without consideration/feedback from those the decisions will impact the most. Not sure what is going on besides Liberal greed just like the pharmaceutical companies. I have a few recreational sites left and love them. I am actually looking for a place to host them that has good support. It seems everyone is just trying to price themselves out of this world. A lot of people I know. some that had 600 to 1000 domains just started letting them expire. I know my friend and I had about 100 combined and we are down to less than 10 now since Namecheap increased their prices. So I imagine if this happens people will tighten things up and use the bare minimum and only hold on to just what they actually need. Just like taxing the shit out of corporations until they are forced to leave the country to service. There are other ways to incentivise so things grow instead of killing everything like Democrats do. To Whom It May Concern: I am opposed to the manner in which these proposed changes to .com’s are unfolding behind closed doors in talks between two big entities and without consumer and other neutral party feedback. It gives the impression that the prices for .com’s will be unnecessarily inflated, thereby allowing the two said parties to make exorbitant amounts of money while providers and consumers will be excessively charged. Please find a better way to discuss, propose and implement any fee increases to .com’s where ALL parties concerned will be treated in a fair and balanced way. Thank You! I am disappointed to learn that PIR and ICANN are working together to ignore the public outcry against the significant price increase of .COM domains. As someone who operates two websites for small businesses, increasing these costs ultimately censors small businesses from operating .COM domains. I sincerely hope you will reconsider this decision.
