Hi, I'm a small time, struggling entrepreneur with a long vision for the internet and future. I own a small portfolio of about 225 URL's ... I'm concerned on not just the purchase of a new domain, but also in the renewal cost which could cause considerable issues for sites that I run for non-profits, sports clubs, friends, and family.... and many URL's that I'm slowly developing. THESE PRICE HIKES ARE ABSOLUTELY UNJUSTIFIED, ESPECIALLY FOR A SANCTIONED MONOLOPY. INCREASING VOLUME AND DEVELOPING TECHNOLOGIES SHOULD RESULT IN PRICE DECREASES, NOT INCREASES! THIS IS A MONOPOLY LICENSE TO PRINT MONEY ALREADY!!! I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry - it has no business dictating the price. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price.
