I respectfully reject the proposal to increase .COM prices. This only hurts Internet in the long run. ICANN should rather be equal to every Internet user rather than being biased to Verisign or any other organization for that matter. Concerned citizens and users of your services have noticed that there's is a likelihood of increase in domain name and .com. Please we appeal that you consider the majority of us who are not monetizing their sites and probably don't have so much money for renewal and updating. Please consider how bad it would be for someone to lose his site just because of a new policy. On behalf of millions of other users of your services, we look forward to hearing a positive response. I understand that the .COM market is saturated, but there are many more opportunities out there. People are already getting used to using different domain names like .shop .academy ….etc. Why increase prices for .COM, when instead they should be decreasing? I agree with one of the other comments I saw about the people that are registering domains without using them, only to sell them at a completely unreasonable price. I assume you guys are getting a huge commission as well, but I think we live in an era where you have more to gain if you are getting along with the crowd, instead of being against it. Again, with so many other offerings out there, I think the times are changing and we have to adapt with them. — Daniel Stefan

I am a domainer (I invest in domain names as a business). I am against the proposed price increase to .COM domains. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Verisign is merely your manager of the .COM Registry – it has no business dictating the price. David Roth Panama City, Panama
