To Whom It May Concern, I ask of you to not increase the prices of the domains for the pricing structure now makes it easy for individuals starting out to afford their own name or business name. Not to mention the current pricing system allows for affordable annual pricing. By price increases it over extends the small people who are trying to enter the digital age of business.

I wholeheartedly disagree with ICANN's agreement with Verisign to allow large price-bumps on the wholesale price of .COM domains over the next several years. I also do not appreciate that ICANN has made these new agreements with Verisign without consulting or incorporating feedback from the ICANN community or Internet users. The decisions made by ICANN in secret with Verisign, go against the idea of a free and open internet without monopolization, and these decisions clearly manipulate and increase the control and power of specific organizations (ICANN and Verisign), leaving consumers with no other alternatives when buying .COM domain names except to accept the increased price-burdens. Please tell me where there is an undo burden of increased costs and management of .COM domains on ICANN or Verisigns behalf. This is purely a money grab and I'm sure that eventually some department of the government will put a stop of these types of random and secretive and sudden price-hikes. ICANN should be stripped of their authority, and a true third party nonprofit should be made responsible. What on earth reason would you have to do this, beyond lining your own pockets? Domain names should be affordable by everyone, and letting price increases go out of control will stop many people from having their own site. Kit Farman

Please void the ICANN contract with Verisign last January 2020 that allow it to increase the wholesale price registrars for .COM domains every year for 8 out of the next 10 years. This contract was done in secrecy without any social responsibility of the community it serves. This contract serves to dominate .COM domain market with predatory price hikes...this hurts the local economies. This secret contract also harms customers and the Internet as a whole. The local community needs affordable .COM domains to support small businesses and family-owned businesses. Collectively, the small businesses provide employment for the majority of the US residents and help the U.S. economy thrive. Please void and cancel the ICANN contract with Verisign that was entered last month! Hello, I am a .com domain registrant and I oppose the proposed change that enables VeriSign to increase prices 4 of the next 6 years. Please put the contract out for bid and have market forces compete for the registration profit. --Dave Stone

I want to speak out against price increases for all .com domains without more public opinion. Verisign is nearly a monopoly on all domains and it's against the spirit of the internet to allow them to increase prices in such a dramatic and anticompetitive way.
