I am a registrant of a .com domain name. No one other than Verisign want increases in .COM prices. The current rate of $7.85 is already far more than justified. Binil India

Hi, Please reconsider increasing the fees for .com domains. Having the ability to share ideas and have self-expression on the internet should be widely accessible to the general public. I currently use my .com as a means to promote myself as a UX designer. I can’t even get a callback for an interview without having my work on the internet. This is not tax-deductible, but just a necessary course for my career. I don’t think there should be an increase in fees without permission from the general public, especially a close to 70% increase in price. This is highway robbery. Catherine

Hello, I am the owner of several .com domains, for both personal and creative use. The current proposal to increase .com domains at an arbitrary and BEYOND inflationary rate is unjustified. It is profit mongering and manipulative action by Verisign. Verisign is the manager, not the price dictator. ICANN is the body that keeps the domain name system operating in the public interest. Please ICANN, step up and stop this nonsense. The proposed price increases are inordinately out of proportion and are not in the public interest or good business interest. I am surprised, and very disappointed with ICANN which I have believed be an organization which really looked after the functionality, fairness, etc as regards domain names. Now I see a "deal" was made, that allow Verisign to become register, increase prices, etc, etc, and they are now set up to take full control of the domain name registration, and market, and become a virtual monopoly. It makes one wonder, what "incentives" the ICANN officers have seen, in order to vote for this change. If ICANN want to be trusted and have be considered an organization that can be considered 'reliable, honest, and without corruption" it is important that this agreement is canceled, AND that everything is managed in a transparent way. Please change it and correct what you surely know is wrong. Lars

If you are a non-profit why do you have to entertain a for-profit company, and your deal with Verisign will just kill the reasonable pricing for .com domains. At these times, let the faith of reasonable people be restored on reputed non-profit organisations such as ICANN. Plz reject the proposed amendment 3, specially the section 17 for increasing the price. Thanks, Nitin
