Hello, Please see the attached proposed motion from the Standing Selection Committee for the Empowered Community representative from the GNSO. After several weeks of meetings, discussions and reviewing the requirements for this role the committee determine this process was the most beneficial to the council. I've only one question: what is the SSC's rationale (under Res. 1d) to put this decision on the councils _consent_ agenda?
No rationale, purely an off-by-one error on my part. It is supposed to be Item 4 on the agenda. My apologies! Julf

I mean the reference in the motion to the consent agenda of the future meetings where the council is supposed to sanction the leadership's proposal (see Resolved 1d: ...Following this determination, this decision is to be confirmed by the GNSO Council _as part of the consent agenda_...). Will let Julf/Susan elaborate, but I'm presuming this means the selection would be a consent agenda item by default, but noting that -any- motion on the Consent Agenda item can be pulled out for a discussion/vote/deferral upon request of a Councilor. Thank you Susan, and many thanks to the SSC for working this out. I’ll happily Second this motion for our agenda in Johannesburg. And while I have no edits at this time, I am hoping we can discuss Wolf-Ulrich’s question, along with perhaps adding in some time constraints (e.g. “Within 2 meetings following leadership elections, …”) on the Chairs & Vice-Chairs establishing a permanent rep to the EC Admin.
